Lake Technical College was recently awarded reaffirmation of accreditation by the Council on Occupational Education (COE). For three (3) days in December 2017, Lake Tech hosted a visiting team of seven professionals from around the country who examined all of our processes, procedures, curriculum, student services, human resources, and technical infrastructure. In addition, the team gave Lake Tech one commendation – for the strength of our business and industry partnerships and connections.
Reaffirmation denotes that an institution has maintained quality programs, again undergone an extensive self-study and team review process, and has continued to meet the Commission’s Standards and Conditions for Accreditation. Accreditation is granted with subsequent reaffirmation scheduled for two to six years. Each institution must substantiate its accreditation each year through an annual report which reflects the current status of the institution.
Lake Technical College has been accredited by COE since 1974. The COE is a national institutional accrediting agency for postsecondary occupational schools that offer certificate, diploma, or applied associate degree programs. More information on the COE can be found at www.council.org.
