1. Hands-On, Real World Training
As a student at Lake Technical College, you will have the opportunity to use the tools and technology of professionals working in your career field of interest. All our equipment meets or exceeds industry standards.
2. Small Classes
Our classes are small so that you receive individual attention every day.
3. Affordable Tuition
We are a public postsecondary institution and supported by your tax dollars. Our tuition is reasonably priced at under $3.00 per hour.
Our main campus is located in Eustis and the Institute of Public Safety is located in Tavares. We also have instructional service centers in Clermont and Tavares, and various off-site locations across the county to serve GED and ESOL students.
5. Advisory Committees
Each program is supported by local business and industry members who provide direction on curriculum, facilities, technology, and emerging trends in the field. They also provide opportunities for job shadowing, internships, and employment upon graduation.
6. Preparation for Licensure Exams and Industry Certifications
Our curriculum and instruction are designed to prepare you for success on the appropriate licensure exams and nationally recognized industry certifications.
7. Financial Aid/Scholarships
Financial aid and scholarships are available for those who qualify and are need-based. We are proud of the fact that our students “graduate with a career, not a loan.”
8. Career in a Year
Most of our career training programs allow you to learn the job skills you need in less than a year. Think about it – you could be on your way to a new career in less than a year!
9. Job Placement
The programs at Lake Technical College prepare you for the high skill/high wage careers in our community.
