Lake Technical College is excited to offer a STEM camp this summer for students currently in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. During the 4-day camp, students will build, operate, and program robots to compete in fun and thought-provoking challenges; learn about and fly drones; and design and print a 3D model using TinkerCAD.
The 4-day camp (Monday – Thursday) will be June 17-20. Camp hours are 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, and before and after care is not available. The camp will be held in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing located on Lake Tech’s main campus at 2001 Kurt Street, Eustis. The $100 camp fee includes lunch and snacks each day and a camp t-shirt.
The camp is limited to 22 students, and applications are now being accepted through May 3. Applications may be available at elementary and middle schools. For more information on the camp, please contact Laurie Bryant at 352.589.2250, x1828, or BryantL2@lake.k12.fl.us.
