Graduation 2013

It’s graduation time at Lake Technical Center! The staff and faculty of LTC are proud to recognize students who received their State of Florida High School Diploma and students who have completed career and technical programs. Both events will be held at Lake Receptions, 4425 N Hwy. 19A, Mount Dora. Students will be recognized for their accomplishments and families will celebrate.

Approximately three hundred and fifty 2012-13 recipients of a State of Florida High School Diploma will be honored on Tuesday, June 18th at 7:00 p.m. during the graduation ceremony. Ms. Sue Cordova, President/CEO of United Way, will be the keynote speaker. Ms. Stephanie Cranor, Patient Care Technician and State of Florida High School Diploma recipient, will be the student inspirational speaker. The Lake County Library System will be honored as the 2012-13 Adult Education Business and Community Partner.

Lake Technical Center will honor over four hundred 2012-13 career and technical program graduates in a separate ceremony to be held on Thursday, June 20th at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Kevin Robson, President of Business Masters, will deliver the keynote address. The Umatilla High School JROTC Color Guard will be posting the colors for both graduations. Scholarships will be awarded at both ceremonies. The following organizations will receive the 2012-13 Career and Technical Education Business and Industry Community Partners award: Florida Department of Corrections, Lake Correctional Institute; The Forty & Eight, and The Daily Commercial.

An additional highlight of these events will be the introduction of the Student of the Year nominees and the announcement of the 2012-13 Student of the Year. The nominees are: Edwin Bodre, Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts; Wendi Conrad, Cosmetology PM; Ana Elentri, Accounting Operations; Laura Gruening, Practical Nursing; Jessica Jucha, Medical Assisting; Hannah Maule, Cosmetology AM; and Ann Marie Mudge, Facial Specialty.

Lake Technical Center’s Institute of Public Safety held individual ceremonies for program graduates of Law Enforcement, Corrections, Fire Fighter and Crossover from Law Enforcement to Correctional Officer.
