Fall Semester Registration Begins 7/5/16

Lake Technical College will open registration for the Fall 2016 semester on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. For the past five decades, Lake Tech has provided career and technical training to thousands of students in Lake County and our surrounding region. This school year, 2016-2017, marks the 50th anniversary of Lake Technical College’s main campus located at 2001 Kurt Street in Eustis. The Institute of Public Safety campus, located at 1565 Lane Park Cutoff in Tavares, was completed in 1994. We are excited to expand again on the Main Campus with the addition of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing. This new building will be a state-of-the-art training facility to prepare people for careers in manufacturing which include Welding, Fabrication, and Machining. The building is set to open in 2017! In addition, we are expanding to meet the needs of the southern part of Lake County through the use of additional classroom space at Lake-Sumter State College’s South Lake Campus, and through added Adult Education classes in the libraries, Goodwills, and other community buildings.

Lake Technical College is a public, post-secondary institution whose mission is to be an integral component of the economic growth and development in our community by offering a variety of high quality career-training opportunities. With nearly 30 career and technical programs, many short-term training opportunities, and Adult Education classes for GED and ESOL, Lake Tech is prepared to meet the growing career preparation and educational needs of our community. Our instructors are experts in their industries and they thrive on launching their students into successful careers. Our programs are fast and affordable! Most programs are completed in approximately one year, thus the slogan, “Career in a Year.” Tuition is based on $2.88 per hour and financial aid is available to those who qualify.

Prospective students can apply online at www.laketech.org and then can come register for classes at the Eustis campus. Summer Hours Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-5:00pm. Testing is available on Monday and Wednesday 7:30-2:30pm.
