This summer, Lake Technical College’s Practical Nursing student Sarah Beth Bunn was recognized at the Florida Association of Career Technical Education Conference for receiving the Outstanding Postsecondary Student of the Year award.
Sarah Beth was nominated by her instructor and Lake Tech administration, and was chosen out of a pool of students from technical colleges throughout the state. Sarah Beth’s instructor, Ms. Anne Willey, and Lake Technical College’s administrative team and staff members were in attendance at the awards breakfast. “Beth Bunn is that special person you meet once in a lifetime. She is a person who is so giving, yet humble; who has the true heart of a nurse. To overcome the barriers she faced to take this path lets me know she will always be the patient’s advocate” says Ms. Anne Willey, LPN instructor. We are all so very proud of Sarah Beth’s accomplishments, and can’t wait to see her excel in her nursing career.
At Lake Technical College we are proud to offer high quality career and technical education to the community. Interested applicants can visit LakeTech.org for program information and to apply. We also encourage you to come to our main campus in Eustis and speak with one of our Career Advisors to take the next step to learn a career in a year with Lake Tech.
