Assessment Center

The Assessment Center is located at the Lake Technical College main campus in Eustis.

If you are going to enroll in an Adult Education class OR a career technical program that is 450 hours or more, with the exception of Law Enforcement Officer and Correctional Officer applicants, you will take a state mandated Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) prior to enrollment. You must complete the Lake Technical College online application prior to testing: APPLY NOW

TABE Exemption: If you have a documented A.A.S. degree or above, earned a standard State of Florida high school diploma in 2007 or later, or earned a high school diploma via GED no more than two years prior to the start of class, you may be exempt from this requirement. A Career Advisor in Admissions will review your official transcripts to determine if you qualify for an exemption prior to testing. Please note, some high school diploma types/withdrawal codes do not qualify for TABE exemption.

Please allow 30 minutes for check-in for all tests. Testing fees are paid in the Business Office unless otherwise noted. All fees are non-refundable and tests must be taken within 30 days. All fees are subject to change without notice. The Business Office hours are Monday, 8am-6pm, Tuesday-Thursday, 8am-4pm, and Friday, 8am-11:30am. Career Advisors are available to discuss test scores during the same business hours.
