East Lake Special Fire District in Pinellas County Hiring FF/Paramedic

The East Lake Special Fire Control District (ELFR) is currently hiring for Firefighter/Paramedic.

ELFR is located in North East Pinellas County and is primarily a bedroom community with more than 30,000 residents covering 33 square miles. ELFR is a full time paid fire department consisting of 33 line personnel (including Division Chiefs, Lieutenants, Driver-Engineers, Paramedics and EMTs), 5 administrative personnel, three stations, two ALS engines, an ALS squad, a reserve engine, a brush truck, a water truck, and an antique fire truck.

ELFR is a full-service Department that provides Fire Prevention, Suppression and Investigation as well as Advanced Life Support Rescue, Hazardous Materials First Response, Vehicle Extrication, and Mutual Aid assistance to neighboring departments and counties.  ELFR also offers many community interactive services such as: CPR instruction, Certified Child Safety Seat Installation, Blood Pressure Checks, Home Safety and Pool Inspections, “Santa’s Helper” Christmas Program, Fire Safety Week Programs with local Schools and Pre Schools as well as an Annual “Safety Day” Open House.  All three stations are also “Safe Place” havens for troubled teens.
