PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Emergency Medical Technician is a certified EMT who is responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care to patients and safe and efficient transport of patients. The EMT also performs clerical and non-technical duties as needed or as assigned by the General Manager or Manager of Day.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides emergency and non-emergency care to sick and injured guests. Renders quality Emergency and Non-Emergency Pre-Hospital Care.
- Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within The Crayola Experience as well as the proper release of information.
- Complies with The Crayola Experience and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
- Demonstrates/models the Crayola Experience’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
- Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
- Maintains BLS, EMT, HAZMAT R&I, and EVOC Certifications.
- Collaborates with other health team members to maintain a professional working relationship with all organizations at an incident.
- Completely, thoroughly, and professionally documents assessments, physical findings and treatment rendered in pre-hospital setting on approved trip record in a timely manner. Assists with maintenance of records and gathering statistical information as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma.
- At least 6 months experience as an EMT preferred.
- EVOC certification.
- Hazardous Materials R & I certification.
- Strong oral communication skills are essential, coupled with exemplary interpersonal skills.
