We are now recruiting for an Entry Level Medical Assistant for our Sand Lake Centra Care center.

General Summary: In this position your primary responsibility will be to perform the duties of an entry-level third person as a Fastracker to assist with patient flow and drug screen collections reporting to the Center Manager. Under the order of a Centra Care physician, the fastracker may perform a variety of laboratory testing and drug screen collections with a minimum of supervision. Must demonstrate independent judgment and initiative. Performs laboratory procedures following accepted OSHA precautions and CLIA guidelines. Works with patients ranging from geriatric to pediatric. Also performs basic clinical duties to facilitate patient flow. Responsible for clerical duties directly related to laboratory and corporate account guidelines. Adheres to Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. This position actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. This position requires you to remain current in all policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality of knowledge and performance.
Shift: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Sand Lake Centra Care, Orlando, FL.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Successful completion of clerical and math test.
- Capable of communicating professionally with an acceptable use of English and spelling.
- Aptitude for strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work with people of various backgrounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Current Certification or Registry for Medical Assistant required/can be obtained within 90 days of employment; duties performed will vary based on employee licensure and experience.
- Previous medical front office experience preferred.
- Must maintain current CPR certification at all times. If certification is not current at time of hire, the employee must obtain a valid card within their first ninety days.
