Fire Fighter

Hours: 450 hours, approximately 4 months (15 weeks)
Cost: Tuition is approximately $1,250.00, plus books & fees
Testing Requirements:Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and National Firefighting Selection Inventory (NFSI)
Mission: The Mission of the Fire Fighter program is to prepare a student with the academic standards and relevant technical knowledge to become a state certified Fire Fighter.

Steps to Enroll

  1. Apply for financial aid, if applicable
  2. Complete a Lake Tech application
  3. Take the TABE and/or placement tests
  4. Meet with a counselor
  5. Register and pay tuition and fees
  6. Purchase books and supplies
  7. Complete the new student orientation online prior to the first day of class
