RETEST: According to Florida Department of Education rules, students who fail all or parts of the TABE (a grade level of 10 is required for the Firefighter I/Firefighter II program) may only retest using a different TABE version after at least 50 documented hours of remediation in the VPI lab or 6 weeks, whichever is soonest. Students may not retake the same test version for six months. We, therefore, strongly recommend that students test early, especially for licensure programs, in order to allow time for remediation and retesting should the need arise.
TABE scores are valid for two years.
