CMS LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEW CLASS
(COMPARATIVE COMPLIANCE)
The Law Enforcement Review Class (Comparative Compliance) is the process that allows Out-of-State/Federal Officers and/or previously certified Florida officers with a four year break in service, an exemption from attending a full law enforcement academy.

An additional fee of $100.00 will be required when applying to take the Florida State Certification Exam.

Dress code will be golf-style shirt worn with dress slacks for classroom work, white t-shirt and sweat pants for DT, t-shirt and shorts for driving, and t-shirt and pants for shooting. Bring 4 belt keepers and eye and ear protection for shooting. School supplies weapon (9mm Glock), ammo and leather.

Verification must be provided via FDLE Equivalency of Training CJSTC form 76 for those applicants previously certified in-state, out-of-state or military. This form must have been submitted and approved at the time of registration. You may contact the Florida Department of Law Enforcement at (850) 410-8600 for assessment information, or you may obtain your assessment through the Lake County Criminal Justice Selection Center located here on the Institute of Public Safety Campus. |

A valid Driver's License will be required for all applicants. |

Recent FDLE physical exam (form 75B) by a Physician is required. |
| |
Report to the Institute of Public Safety to register and pay fees. |
| |
Registration hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Students must be registered by 4:00 p.m. two weeks prior to class start date. |

Students will receive the Course Objectives CD at the time of registration. |

This course consists of two segments: (1) CJSTC-mandated demonstrations of proficiency in the High Liability Areas of Firearms, Vehicle Operations, Defensive Tactics and First Aid and (2) Exam Preparation review of curriculum and mock testing. Students must complete both segments. Students must have completely read and reviewed the ENTIRE course curriculum prior to attending the class. The IPS does NOT represent that taking the Exam Preparation review will guarantee passage of the State Officer Certification Exam. |

Registration will be on a FIRST COME/FIRST PAY basis. You will NOT be considered registered until you have paid your fees and submitted a complete application . We will NOT hold a seat for anyone. There is a limit of 14 total seats (Law Enforcement and Corrections) for this class.

CANCELLATION PROCEDURE: Students who are registered for class will be notified of cancellation of the class two weeks before the class is scheduled to begin. |
