City of Saint Cloud Fire Department is currently hiring for an EMT/Firefighter position. All testing must be completed by 5pm EST on December 11, 2015. A city application must be submitted online to www.stcloud.org.

Only CPAT testing through National Testing Network will be accepted by December 11, 2015.

City of Saint Cloud Fire Department $14.73/hr ($44,219.46 Annually)

Job Requirements

  • US Citizen: Lawfully work in the US
  • High School Grad/GED: Yes
  • Valid FLORIDA State Driver’s License: Yes
  • Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
  • Vision: Accordance with NFPA 1582
  • Academy Certification:Yes

Necessary Certifications:

  • Emergency Medical Technician Florida
  • State of Florida Firefighter Standards Certification
  • Must have completed on Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)

Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: A criminal history background investigation is conducted once a conditional offer has been made following F.S. 633.34 and City Personnel Rules and Regulations Manual

Driving Disqualifiers (If convicted of one of the following in the past three years, may be disqualified)

  • Driving under the influence
  • Driving while intoxicated
  • Negligent homicide arising out of the use of a motor vehicle
  • Operating during a period of suspension, revocation, or cancellation
  • Use of a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony
  • Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle
  • Theft of a motor vehicle
  • Reckless driving
  • Hit and run
  • Unlawful speeding resulting in an accident
