Lake Technical College PN Students win at Nursing Competition

Lake Technical College is proud to announce that our nursing students took 1st and 2nd place at the National Association of Licensed Practical Nursing Convention, sponsored by Kaplan Learning, that was held in Orlando, Florida, on September 29. Instructors Chuck Srock and Anne Willey took groups from our Clermont, Eustis, and Sumterville Practical Nursing programs. The students participated in the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) review that was followed by the Student Day Competition “Nursing Jeopardy”. The 1st place winners received a trophy, along with a $350 Kaplan Learning Voucher and a check for $250 to assist them with their school expenses! Instructor Chuck Srock states, “I’m thrilled for them!”

Lake Technical College’s Practical Nursing Program (PN) is now in the Open Application period for the Spring
2018 semester. The FT day program at our Clermont location starts January 31, 2018 with the application period
ending October 31, 2017. The FT day program at our Eustis location starts February 26, 2018 with the application
period ending November 30, 2017. The next program at our Sumterville location will start in Spring 2019.
