The Assessment Center is located in Room 309.
The testing hours in the Assessment Center are 8 am – 5 pm on Mondays and 8 am – 2 pm on Thursdays. No appointment is necessary to take the test. Come in anytime during the stated hours, and a staff member will register you for the test before you begin testing.
If you are going to enroll in a technical program that is 450 hours or more, with the exception of Law Enforcement Officer and Correctional Officer applicants, you will take a state mandated Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) prior to enrollment. TABE Study Guide Information. If you have a documented A.A.S. degree or above, you are exempt from this requirement.
Law Enforcement Officer and Correctional Officer students are required to take the Basic Abilities Test (BAT) as per Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) requirements. CJBAT Study Guide Information.
In addition to the TABE, Fire Fighter program applicants must take the National Firefighters Selection Inventory (NFSI) NFSI Study Guide Information, and Practical Nursing and Emergency Medical Technician applicants must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) TEAS Study Guide Information.

This testing fee must be paid between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday in the Business Office. All fees are non-refundable, but good for 30 days.
